What will you learn?
The UK’s first Postgraduate Masters in School Leadership of Mental Health and Wellbeing for school and college leaders. This qualification will be through Leeds Beckett University.
This course will enable you to promote positive mental health and wellbeing, help your school adopt strategies which prevent mental illness and improve your support processes for children and young people in schools.
Length
1 year part-time, distance learning (as a Postgraduate Certificate).
2 year part-time + Dissertation, distance learning (as a full Masters)

Who’s it for?
Experienced and established Senior Mental Health Leads who have been in post for a number of years and are keen to remain on top of this important agenda and seeking to significantly deepen their leadership.
What will you learn?
You will focus on how you tie together the various strands of the whole school approach to mental health, developing your three-year roadmap for whole school strategic change and your own leadership development plan, identifying how you can increase your leadership potential in the coming year.
This course will provide you with the tools to evaluate your strategic choices, helping you make marginal gains where you can and resulting in an ambitious school improvement strategy.

Senior Mental Health Leads looking to further develop the school mental health support offered.
What will you learn?
You will be supported to assess what you are currently doing in your setting to enable you to make evidence-based changes to the whole school approach.
This will involve creating an action plan to focus on developing, introducing, or improving your current assessment of interventions.

Those just beginning their journey as a Senior Mental Health Lead, or those looking to re-establish their current approach.
What will you learn?
You will be supported to create an intent statement, policy and an effective plan to improve your setting’s approach to mental health.
You will leave with a transformational vision for your setting, rooted in evidence and based upon best-practice from inspirational leaders across the sector.
