Minds Ahead has just entered its fifth year and has led the way on training for staff in schools as part of the Department for Education funded training for mental health leads. It has a range of courses and training available as part of its collaboration with the Carnegie School of Education at Leeds Beckett as the co-founder of the Centre for Excellence for Mental Health in Schools.
The Child Mental Health and Wellbeing in Schools Conference will take place on Tuesday, 21 June 2022. Claire Sewell, Programme Lead for the Schools Mental Health Specialist programme and Learning & Development Specialist at Minds Ahead will be speaking about the School Mental Health Specialist programme at this online event.

Since February 2022, the School Mental Health Specialist Programme is a PGDip or a full Master’s (MA) degree! MA students can apply for a postgraduate loan through Gov.UK should they wish to fund that way.

The Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools, based within the Carnegie School of Education in partnership with Minds Ahead CIC, will develop robust quality assurance criteria for training providers who apply to deliver DfE funded Senior Mental Health Leadership courses.
