Minds Ahead were successful in applying for the highly competitive Grow It award to develop the School Mental Health Specialist role. To win this award we had to identify a social issue and developed a business model that works to solve it, demonstrate that we are committed to, and have a track record of, delivering local, regional or national social impact at scale and have a realistic growth plan. By winning this award we will gain 12 months mentoring and tailored support from an award manager, providing advice on operations and governance, to replication and growth strategies and expert advice including access to workshops and masterclasses.

Our partnership with ZING enables us to learn how technology can help us to grow. ZING’s expert team provides us with tailored technical support and their mission is ‘to be a collaborative, powerful and positive force for good in helping young people realise their potential.’

The Enterprise Development Programme is a multi-year programme, funded by Access – The Foundation for Social Investment and managed by The Association of Mental Health Providers. Minds Ahead are supported by receiving tailored support and grant funding to develop and grow the School Mental Health Specialist role. We were selected for this competitive programme for our aspirations to make a system-wide impact and for having a clear plan for sustainable growth.
