Minds Ahead is an innovative Social Enterprise reshaping school mental health, by equipping schools with the knowledge, skills and networks to make sustainable improvements. Here’s our track record since inception, in 2017:
- Co-founded the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools – the UK’s first university Centre for Mental Health in Schools
- Research and designed a national mental health in schools’ quality award, now used by over 2500 schools to evaluate and improve their practice
- Designed and delivered the world’s first Master’s in School Leadership of Mental Health, now in its sixth year
- Designed and delivered innovative mental health training programmes to over 5000 school colleagues, in the UK and internationally
- Working with our partners, Leeds Beckett University, we are the national quality assurance lead for all DfE-funded Senior Mental health Leadership programmes
- Researched, designed and run a series of school mental health Qualifications, accredited by the Royal Society for Public Health
- Chaired and spoke at multiple national mental health in-school conferences
- Won several awards from Social Enterprise UK, UnLTD and SE100

We also know that schools need quality support, resources and training to improve, learn from each other and develop this new approach. It is our mission to provide these.
Purpose of the role:
The Growth Marketing Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving Minds Ahead’s growth plan by developing and executing innovative marketing strategies. This role will ensure an expanding brand awareness, increase in customer acquisition, and enhance engagement across our professional learning programmes and consultancy services.
Qualifications:
- Campaign Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and manage integrated and highly effective marketing campaigns that promote Minds Ahead’s qualifications and services.
- Design and implement engaging growth strategies that drive lead generation, conversion, and retention, resulting in high interest in our work.
- Generate and implement innovative and novel strategies and techniques that accelerate growth.
- Content Marketing:
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce engaging, purpose-driven content such as blogs, case studies, and success stories.
- Leverage content to position Minds Ahead as a thought leader in school mental health.
- Data Analysis and Optimisation:
- Monitor campaign performance metrics and ROI, providing regular reports and actionable insights.
- Use A/B testing and data-driven decision-making to optimise marketing efforts.
- Partnership Development:
- Work closely with partners, including Leeds Beckett University and the Royal Society for Public Health, to amplify joint initiatives.
- Identify, build and develop new partnerships that enable the achievement of organisational goals.
- Brand Management:
- Ensure all marketing activities align with Minds Ahead’s brand values and messaging pillars.
- Support the development of the brand so that it is relevant, engaging and effective in communicating with our target audiences.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a growth marketing role or similar, ideally within education or a mission-driven organisation.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques.
- Excellent growth marketing analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Creative mindset with a track record of developing impactful campaigns. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small and remote team.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Google Analytics) is desirable.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
