Jo Broad has been working in the interests of Children, Young People and Families for over 25
years on projects promoting Social Inclusion, Creativity, Learning and Wellbeing. After an early
career in Music, including coaching of young people in and out of Schools, Jo began working
strategically with public agencies and community-led initiatives to deliver Cultural, Educational and Economic development activities including with Arts Council England, Sport England,
Regional Development agencies, Local Authorities and third sector organisations as well as
Schools. She is an experienced strategic planner and implementer of Public Sector programmes targeted at Young People and has a track record of springboarding cross-boundary initiatives with a mission for change. Since 2004, Jo has worked under the banner of KindleCo – an independent consultant, coach and project manager who loves to enable the champions of children & young people to thrive through strategy creation, stakeholder, organisational and project development. She shares extensive experience of partnering organisations working against a backdrop of public policy, in locations from the bottom to the top of the deprivation indices, and under all political persuasions. A qualified adult Mental Health First Aider, Jo has a sound grasp of the challenges which adults supporting vulnerable children, face. Fan of systems-thinking, collaboration, compassion, courage and creativity.
