Steve Upton

Steve has worked for the past 32 years in a wide range of primary schools in Essex and Milton Keynes with a variety of roles and responsibilities including 9 years as Headteacher of an infant school. In his last school he took on the newly-created role of lead mental health and wellbeing teacher, leading staff training on mental health for children and adults, linking it restorative practice. In 2012 he followed his growing interest in mental health by training as a counsellor and is now a qualified integrative therapist working with adults and young people on a wide range of issues, including anxiety, low self-esteem, depression and abuse. More recently he has been sharing his knowledge and passion for counselling by delivering Level 1 and Level 2 Counselling courses in a local F.E. college.
