Claire Wong is an experienced education and mental health practitioner with over 25 years’ experience supporting children and young people across early years, primary, secondary and post-16 education.
Her professional background spans frontline practice, leadership and specialist work with children and young people experiencing social, emotional and mental health needs. Claire has worked across a wide range of educational and community contexts, supporting schools to strengthen inclusion, early intervention and whole-school approaches to wellbeing.
Claire has contributed to a number of local and national initiatives focused on improving outcomes for vulnerable learners and embedding effective mental health support within educational settings. Her work is underpinned by extensive professional and academic training, including therapeutic approaches, leadership development and specialist practice in SEMH.
Alongside her practice experience, Claire brings strong governance and system-level insight. She has served as both a school governor and chair of governors, giving her a deep understanding of safeguarding responsibilities, school leadership pressures and the realities of implementation in busy school environments.
